Integración tecnológica del Hospital Militar de la Reina

The challenge

To fully equip the second largest hospital ever built in Chile with cutting-edge technology. This hospital covers an area of 85,000 square meters on seven storeys..

DOMINION's

As we are an independent agent that is not bound to any specific brand, DOMINION was able to provide the client with the technological equipment implementation plan that best suited its requirements. We are also able to train and instruct personnel on the required technological upgrades.

Results

Engineering design and integration of hospital equipment, IT systems, technology and hospital furniture for a particularly complex military hospital that provides services nationwide. Cutting-edge medical equipment was used for this.

Rebuilding of the La Reina Military Hospital

Since opening in 1932, the La Reina Military Hospital has served as Chile's healthcare flagship. During its 80-plus years of history, it has always pioneered when it comes to incorporating cutting-edge medical technology at its facilities in the Providencia head offices. However, a new goal arose in 2005: to provide a new location for the military hospital.

This goal represented a great challenge for the country's health care system as it was equipped with cutting-edge and the most up-to-date medical equipment available. DOMINION was central to this major achievement, completely implementing the medical and technological equipment in a 85,000 square metre military hospital.

This hospital was also the first health centre in the country with a heliport and it should also be poitned out that it was built on seismic isolators which kept the building intact when it was shook by an earthquake of 8.9 on the Richter scale - hardly anything!

This project was key towards obtaining expertise in the hospital sector, but it also served to lay the foundations of what the company is today in the country. What this work represented, without a doubt marked a before and after for DOMINION.
