Artificial intelligence(AI), cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) are driving the need for more advanced, efficient and sustainable solutions

In the digital age, where the demand for data storage and processing is growing exponentially, data centres have evolved from simple infrastructures to become the core of technological transformation.

Artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT) are driving the need for more advanced, efficient and sustainable solutions. It is estimated that by 2028, 20% of data centre consumption will be for AI, requiring more efficient cooling systems and optimised energy solutions.

More than 18 years designing customized Data Centers

At Dominion, we have been designing, building, equipping and maintaining customized Data Centers in key markets such as Spain, the Middle East and South America for more than 18 years. Our comprehensive approach allows us to offer turnkey solutions, guaranteeing efficiency and customization in each project.

One of our main strengths is our ability to industrialize 3D designs, achieving up to 50% prefabrication, which reduces construction times, optimizes operational efficiency and allows full customization.

In addition, we are specialists in retrofitting old Data Centers (retrofits), improving their capacity and efficiency without the need to build new facilities, thus reducing the carbon footprint and optimizing the investment.

Data Center sustainability as a strategy for continuous improvement

Sustainability is a priority in our strategy. We optimize PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) and WUE (Water Usage Effectiveness) to reduce energy and water consumption, implement full immersion and direct liquid cooling to improve thermal efficiency, and comply with certifications such as LEED, WELL and BREEAM (Gold and Platinum), ensuring that our infrastructures meet the highest sustainability standards.

In Spain we already use full immersion cooling, key to achieving the rack density demanded by AI applications and advanced model training.

A promising future for the domestic market and high security standards.

The Data Center sector is expanding rapidly and Spain is consolidating its position as the third largest investment destination, attracting giants such as AWS and Google.

Key factors such as the saturation of the FLAP-D markets (Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Dublin), the rise of AI and the increasing availability of renewable energies have turned the country into a strategic hub for this type of infrastructure.

In this context, security and resilience play a fundamental role. At Dominion, we develop Data Centers that meet the highest availability standards, such as Tier 3 and Tier 4 levels from the Uptime Institute, guaranteeing uninterrupted operation even under extreme conditions.

Innovation in this sector does not stop. With artificial intelligence accelerating the development of new infrastructures and redefining data center requirements, the evolution is constant.

The big question is: are we prepared for a world where data, efficiency and technology are changing at an unprecedented speed?

At Dominion, we work every day to make sure the answer is yes.
