The inauguration ceremony of the solar parks took place last August 2022 and was atteded by the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader.

Recently, the Washington Capital Solar Park 2 and 3 were officially inaugurated, which together add up to 140 MWp (67 MWp and 73 MWp) and will be located in the municipality of San Antonio de Guerra in Santo Domingo.

From DOMINION, together with our associate BAS Corporation, we are in charge of the development, execution, start-up and operation of the parks with almost 150 thousand panels, 20 transformer stations and a substation each.

Projects that bring the Dominican Republic closer to its goal until 2025, the year in which they expect 25% of the electricity consumed by the country to come from renewable energies.

In addition to the president of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, the event was also attended by the Minister of Energy and Mines, Antonio Almonte, and the CEO of BAS Corporation, Emilio Martínez.

This park joins our other large projects in the country in the field of clean energy: the construction of Mata de Palma in 2019, the largest park on the island to this date with a capacity of 65 MWp, and El Soco , which has come into operation this 2022 with a power of 79MWp.
