DOMINION has developed all the installation works (air conditioning, electrical, weak signals, medical gases, centralized control, plumbing, lighting) for the implementation of this project, a benchmark in Europe.
All this is the result of more than 3 years of work and the public-private partnership, which, pursuing the goal of excellence and innovation in the ophthalmology specialty, has placed the Hospital Clinic at the forefront in terms of the design of its spaces and the integration of technology.
The new surgical block, which will be able to accommodate up to 30 interventions a day, occupies more than 1,000 square meters and will serve more than 520,000 inhabitants of the Area Integral de Salut Barcelona Esquerra (AISBE). In addition to having the most cutting-edge technology, it is designed with the aim of taking maximum care of the patient's experience.
Another of its peculiarities is its training area connected to the surgical block itself, which will allow students to see the operations live, and intercommunicated with the outpatient area, improving teaching through the possibility of observing real clinical practice.
