Solar energy for efficient desalination, RV to help people with ADHD or technologies to promote sustainable consumption, these are some projects from BQUO, DOMINION's talent development program.

Desalination of sea water in an efficient process using solar energy, sensors and robotics for the capture and management of data in industrial plants, housing solutions for people in situations of social vulnerability, technology for the promotion of local and sustainable consumption, implementation of virtual reality systems to help people with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and application of AI solutions to improve productivity. These are the entrepreneurial proposals that the participants of the first edition of BQUO will develop from Bilbao in the next 6 months.

The participants of this first edition of BQUO come from Colombia, Mexico, Morocco and Malaga (Spain) and since mid-November they have been working in the space that DOMINION has enabled in Bilbao. The group has been selected by the Program Committee among the applications received from the 35 countries in which DOMINION has a presence, and combines entrepreneurial and high-potential executive profiles.

The objective of BQUO is to offer resources and knowledge so that participants develop their own entrepreneurial projects and carry out challenges proposed by the organization, connected to DOMINION's main sectors of activity: industry, energy, telecommunications and infrastructure, with a clear focus on improving sustainability.

For all this, the program offers its own acceleration model. Patricia Berjón, Director of BQUO points out that “we are not an accelerator or a business school, nor are we venture capital investment or a corporate university: we are all of that at the same time. A program that offers everything a person may need to develop their capabilities for business management and an innovative project, with the great advantage of doing so with the support of a solid and successful company, with all the resources they may need.”

The training program is directed by Professor Guillermo Dorronsoro, and combines more than 80 teaching hours of expert knowledge and deployment of soft skills, with practical learning inside and outside the organization.

The DOMINION management team assumes the mentoring of the participants, from their constant evaluation to accompaniment in the deployment of projects and challenges. In this first edition, Manu Barandiaran (Director of the Renewable Energy Area), Eva López (Marketing Director - B2C), Asier Arondo (Director of the Environmental Services Area), Michel Yehuda (Country Manager of Mexico), Emilio García (Director in the 360 Project Area) and Roberto Tobillas (General Director of DOMINION) participate as mentors.
