We apply that across our entire value chain. Our ESG (Environmental Social Governance) policies and objectives are integrated into our Strategic Plan and we see them as a competitive advantage.
People are our most important asset and that is why we always go the extra mile when it comes to ensuring the health and safety of the entire team. We have our own integrated occupational health and safety system that has allowed us to obtain the ISO 45001 international certification, a recognition of our preventive culture and our continuous search for improvement.
A fundamental part of our safety program is the ongoing training of employees throughout their career development journey at DOMINION. The sessions of our OSH area (Occupational Safety and Health) are a very common phase of the onboarding process of new employees and provide them all the information necessary to do their jobs safely.
The most recent sessions have taken place with our colleagues in Peru. During the trainings, they learnt about topics such as healthy eating, hygiene measures or basic procedures for first aid. The operating personnel also receive daily specific training talks in order to incorporate best practices into their work protocols.
Currently, due to COVID19, we have innovated in the way we conduct the trainings to do most of them online. In those cases where it was not possible to do so, like in our operative talks with technicians, we have continued doing them on-site, maintaining social distancing measures to guarantee everyone’s safety.
